Abstract: As a kind of seasoning, mustard sauce is prone to deterioration due to a large amount of oxygen, which causes bitter taste. Therefore, its packaging is critical to the barrier of external oxygen. In this paper, the oxygen permeability of the package is judged by testing the oxygen transmission rate of the plastic tube for mustard sauce. By introducing the oxygen transmission rate detection process, the testing principle of the C230 oxygen transmission rate tester and the equipment parameters, it provides a reference for food companies to select suitable test methods or testing equipment for oxygen barrier properties of food containers.

1, meaning

The thiocyanate component in mustard sauce can prevent tooth decay and has a certain effect on human health. The oil component has a beauty and beauty effect. This article is tested according to the method specified in GB/T 31354-2014 "Packaging and Container Oxygen Permeability Test Method Coulomb Test Method". This standard specifies test methods for the oxygen permeability of packages and containers using coulometric methods under steady-state conditions. This standard is applicable to plastic and composite packages and containers in a dry environment with a volume of less than 2L. Test the oxygen permeability of packaging materials.

3, test samples

A Japanese brand mustard plastic tube packaging was used as the experimental sample.

4, test equipment

This paper uses the C230 oxygen permeation tester independently developed by Jinan Languang Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. to test the oxygen barrier performance of the sample.

4.1 Equipment principle

The C230 oxygen transmission rate tester uses the isostatic test principle to clamp the pre-treated sample between the test chambers. Oxygen or air flows on one side of the film, and high-purity nitrogen flows on the other side of the film. Oxygen molecules diffuse through the membrane to the other side of the high purity nitrogen and are carried to the sensor by the flowing nitrogen. By analyzing the oxygen concentration measured by the sensor, parameters such as oxygen transmission rate are calculated. For packaging containers, high purity nitrogen flows through the container, and air or high purity oxygen surrounds the outside of the container.

4.3 Equipment parameters

The test range of the container sample is 0.0005 ~ 25 cm3 / (pkg · d), the resolution is 0.01 cm3 / (pkg · d); the test range of the film sample is 0.1 ~ 5000 cm3 / (m2 · d), The resolution is 0.01 cm3/(m2·d).

5, the test process

(1) Cut the bottom of the plastic tube, and then fasten the bottom opening of the plastic tube to the container sealing device. After the sealing is completed, clamp it into the equipment, and then use the sealed bag to carry the container and the sealing tray. Sealed and bandaged.

(2) Set test parameters such as test temperature and test humidity. Click the test option and the test starts.

6, test results

The plastic tube samples tested herein have an oxygen transmission rate of 0.0247 cm3/(pkg·d).
