Prepress production pages need to form a large version after a certain rule and then output the film or directly output the plates. The correct layout can effectively improve work efficiency, reasonably control the use of materials, and reduce production costs. The correct hand-holding is the basis for the imposition of the large version, and it is also an important reference for checking the printing status of the product in advance.

The contents of the handout should be displayed on the hand

(1) Accurately mark the final product size of the product, including the opening of the printed sheet; (2) Correctly mark the page number, and use the brief text to annotate the main content of the page, such as title page, table of contents, preface, preface, postscript, copyright page, etc. (3) Correctly mark the edges of printed stamps. When the number of printed sheets is large, they should be annotated with the version number, the back-to-back relationship, and the folding label; (4) For folded products, the folding line should be marked according to the different folding methods to cut the small finished products. Products should be marked with cutting lines; (5) indicate the hue of the layout (eg, four colors, single black or spot colors, multicolor).

How to make a hand

1. Prepare some A4 or A5 thin paper, or you can use printed scrap (not less than 10cm in width) and cut it into a rectangle for folding.

2. According to the total number of pages of the product and the open book, determine the total number of printed products, and set aside corresponding paper for hand-sheets.

3. According to the different binding methods, determine the folding method of folding, and make corresponding hand-offs, folding out the required number of sheets one by one. Depending on the folding method, there are the following three types of folding methods.

(1) vertical cross fold: also known as turning. Put the paper flat and fold it in half. Then turn it clockwise and then turn it in a right angle before folding it. Turning it in turn will give you a three-fold and a four-fold. (Note that folding can be no more than 40%). This is the most commonly used folding method, which is characterized by easy handling of signatures, folds, pages, pages, and locks. The number of folds and pages, and the number of prints, have certain rules, which are easy to grasp and can be easily folded. Folder folding work.

(2) parallel fold: also known as rolling, suitable for loose single page, abnormal open, open and other pages, when doing folded hands, according to the finished product size, etc. to determine the printing format. It is divided into double-folding, roll-folding and turning-folding.

1 Double fold; fold the paper flat and fold it in half again.

2 roll off: also known as the package heart. The first fold of the page number is in the middle, and the second fold or third fold is folded. The maximum is not more than three fold.

3 turn over fold: also known as fan fold or accordion fold. After the first fold is good, fold the second fold in the opposite direction, fold back and forth in order, and make the front fold and the back fold become parallel.

(3) Mixed folds: When folding the same book, both parallel folds and vertical folds are used. This folding method is mostly used for 6-page, 9-page, double-folding and other signatures, and is suitable for the folding operation of a fence type folding machine.

1 3 fold 6-page signature folding method: Place the paper flat, fold it in twos according to the method of roll-folding, and then turn it 90° clockwise and fold it again.

2 double folding method: the upper and lower pages link into a post, that is, there are two sets of the same page number called double. Double-bind binding can make binding work more efficient. Place the paper flat and fold it in half, then turn it 90° clockwise and fold it in half. Then fold it in half.

4. In the analog binding mode, the folded pages are put in order correctly, and the pages are numbered one by one.

5. Correctly label the version number, job name, print pass, etc. Generally for hand-folded paper, one side of the neck is a mouthwash, and the other side is an anti-print.

6. Adding a signature on the spine makes it easy to check and find faults in the allocation. The signature of each signature should be in the form of a ladder. The size of the signature is 3mm × 4mm.
