However, looking at the entire printing industry today, there are many ways to print technology. The most basic printing methods are: letterpress printing, lithographic offset printing, gravure printing, flexographic printing, and screen printing. They occupy the vast majority of the printing industry. Many of the new and special printing processes described in the chapters of this book are based on the above five types of printing processes and are derived from, or directly use, the printing technology. The general printing process must begin after the printing plate is finished. The production process of obtaining the prints with the required shape and performance is collectively referred to as post-press processing, such as book binding, die-cutting and indentation processing of the packaging carton, and the like.
