Nowadays, there are many modern packaging powerhouses in the world. They not only already have long-term strategic plans for seizing the future of China's packaging market, but have already begun to implement concrete action steps. The most obvious is that in February of this year, the modern printing group known as the two worlds of Heidelberg, Germany and the United States, Pauli Huibang, held a grand cooperative celebration event in Shanghai with a so-called “strong and strong alliance and complementary advantages”. In particular, at the meeting, Mr. Li Bofang, general manager of Heidelberg Hong Kong Co., Ltd., talked about why they are in the present, and when they are holding such a grand celebration of cooperation in Shanghai and the United States, it is the most outspoken. Most understandable.
He said that the development of flexible printing in China is very rapid. We are optimistic about the Chinese market. However, the center of China's flexible technology is in Shanghai. If it seizes Shanghai, it can radiate China. Therefore, the company of Haide Fort valued Shanghai very much. Heidelberg's Materials Department also uses Shanghai as an important development base. The remarks made by General Manager Li expressed just how plainly Germany and the United States took over the Chinese printing market, including, of course, the packaging and decorating printing market, and their strategic initiatives and specific implementation steps. Their goal is not only to gain a preemptive occupation of one item or one place, but also to conquer and occupy China's printing industry, including packaging and decoration, printing, technical equipment, and printing raw and auxiliary materials. Not only in Shanghai, but also in China. Fully seized. What they depended on, of course, was not the warships and cannons of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, but the high-tech and solid economic strength of modern civilization. These world powers have experienced several wall-breaking lessons since the 20th century and felt that their economic strength and the "infiltration" of high-tech and advanced industrial technologies may make it easier to enter China's borders than advanced aircraft and missiles. In fact, they were effective in the first seventies.
Since the 1980s, some of the world’s modern packaging industry powers have also established more influential interest areas in the packaging industry in certain key cities and regions in the eastern coast of China. In particular, they are not only taking advantage of dumping raw and auxiliary packaging materials, but also increasing investment in modern packaging basic industries such as packaging machinery, packaging, scientific research and development. For example, the international famous Shengdao Group, Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Fuji Machinery Co., Ltd., Uchida Machinery Co., Ltd., Italy's Pobst (machinery) company and France DMT, etc., have flocked to China for dumping packaging since the 1980s. Subsidiary materials, packaging machinery or investment in construction, almost occupies most of the packaging market in China. Especially in some high-end packaging materials, high-speed modern packaging products production equipment is particularly prominent. At the time of high-end, high-speed packaging printing machinery, electronic color separation plate making equipment, flexible packaging materials and automatic packaging production line, high-speed wide corrugated cardboard box production line, Yi Lai cover two-piece cans of raw and auxiliary materials and production lines, high-speed high-grade film production lines, hollow containers Production equipment and so on, almost all or most of the market is occupied by foreign investors.
What is particularly worth mentioning is papermaking, which was originally one of the four great inventions in ancient China. But now, the paper industry in China lags far behind advanced foreign countries. And it can't satisfy the needs of your country. Even the kraft linerboards for medium and high-grade packaging are heavily dependent on imports, and some special packaging papers are even more so. According to relevant statistics, in 1997 alone, China’s paper import volume reached 5.5244 million tons, and imported paper was cheaper than domestic paper. Therefore, it seized the vast majority of China's high-end packaging paper market. At the same time, the United States, Canada, Finland, Indonesia, and other countries have flooded into China with hundreds of investment paper mills. In Jiangsu alone, several large-scale paper mills with advanced world standards have been built. In China, there has been a phenomenon in which domestic papermaking companies are on the verge of collapse and foreign companies have flooded into the country to build paper mills. This is extremely embarrassing to the people. China's paper industry is so sluggish, but who owns the domestic packaging paper market?
In the 1990s, although China's modern packaging and basic industries have made great progress, the comprehensive level still lags far behind the world's power. If we do not pay attention to practical work and increase investment, then when we enter the 21st century, when our country joins the WTO and further opens up, the world's powers will inject in large numbers. It will be too late to grasp again. Do not say anything more to help other countries at that time. I am afraid that it is difficult for him to protect himself.
What needs to be explained here is that there is no objection or repudiation to the introduction of foreign advanced technology or to the rejection of all foreign friendly cooperation and investment in China. In the past, the effectiveness of domestic development has been promoted through the introduction and is well known. And in the future we will continue to strengthen our technical exchanges and cooperation with international advanced countries. I am referring to those unhealthy trends that emerged in the 1970s in China, which were introduced to and exported abroad, regardless of good reasons, repeated introduction, and some that did not attach importance to the construction of modern packaging and basic industries. Because of that wind, at that time, to a certain extent, it affected the construction of China's modern packaging industry. I also worry that if China’s modern packaging and basic industries still cannot reach the international advanced level in a short period of time, then in a considerable period of time, at least until the middle of the 21st century, the level of China’s modern packaging industry will still not be able to get rid of or not Get rid of the "backward state" completely.
Many high-tech packaging equipment and raw materials still rely on imports. This will not only lose the large domestic packaging market, but will further jeopardize and worsen the environment and conditions for China's modern packaging infrastructure industry, and even cause major losses to the development of China's national economy and international trade. My fundamental starting point is to use this appeal to arouse the full attention of all parties concerned, especially the leaders, and attach importance to the construction of China's modern packaging industry. At the same time, I also wanted to use this as a “brick” to attract the attention of academic circles and theoretical research, and to strengthen academic research on these aspects in order to increase overall understanding of the development of modern packaging industry in China and accelerate development. China's modern packaging industry, with full strength, to face and meet the challenges of the future. (Finish)
