What is the reason for such sudden and unresponsiveness, but the strange phenomenon that it has acted upon the bearing and will act on its own? We immediately shut down for fault checking. Initially, we thought that it was caused by poor contact between the carbon brush and the ring. Therefore, normal handling of the carbon brush and the contact along the ring was performed, but there was no effect. Can it be the electromagnetic clutch coil failure? By detecting the absence of open circuit or short circuit in the coil, the problem of poor wire contact is detected. At the same time, in the case of energizing the coil in the field inspection, a piece of steel (an Allen wrench or a screwdriver) is used to contact the steel ring of the coil. The surface (and the surrounding surface) produces a noticeable sticky feel to the steel, which is the magnetic attraction that occurs when the coil is energized. By inspection of the above method, it can basically be determined that the clutch coil is normal.

Through in-depth analysis again, we believe that the above-mentioned failure caused by the large clearance between the friction ring and the friction wheel. So the gap was made to regulate the adjustment (usually the gap is adjusted to 2-5mm is appropriate), the fault can be completely ruled out.

Why does the above-mentioned failure situation occur when the gap distance between the friction ring and the friction wheel is not too large? I believe that because the gap distance is too large and in the case of too large and not much, it will normally operate normally, but sometimes it will appear after the clutch coil is energized. Although a pull-in action occurs, the pull-in is not fully achieved. In the normal position (or not tight), the transmission shaft in this state cannot move the connecting rod. However, when the friction ring is touched (touched inwards), the gap between the friction ring and the friction wheel is reduced. To make the oversize fit, and then instantly pull it in place, a normal start appears. The above-mentioned reason why the operator could not start after pressing the “Pressure Cut” button, and in the case of not cutting off the power supply, when the right bearing block is touched, the phenomenon that the drive shaft is suddenly operating again is also the reason. Because the bearing seat is assembled with an adjustable friction ring, actuating the bearing seat also touches the friction ring. This caused the above situation to occur.

It can be seen that, like this type of equipment, whether or not the adjustment of the distance between the friction wheels is appropriate is critical.
