China's packaging education, as an integral part of China's education, was developed after the reform and opening up, accompanied by the rapid rise of China's packaging industry. In the past 20 years, through the hard work of the educators of the packaging industry, the system has gradually become complete and the structure has gradually improved. At present, a packaging educational system has been formed that integrates packaged higher education, secondary vocational education, staff education, and adult education, which has made great contributions to the development of China's packaging industry.
The reform and opening up of packaging higher education has brought good development opportunities to the development of the packaging industry. When the China Packaging Corporation and the China Packaging Technology Association were established in the early 1980s, they attached great importance to the training of packaging professionals and put packaging education as a revitalization package. The basis of industry is to implement the strategy of "invigorating the country through science and education" advanced by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. First established the Zhuzhou Institute of Technology to train professionals for the entire industry, and then strive to set up packaging engineering professional universities in various parts of the country. Under the care and support of the State Education Commission and relevant ministries and commissions, after nine years of trial operation, in 1993, the packaging engineering profession was formally included in the national professional college directory. In the past 20 years, Xi'an University of Technology, Northwest Institute of Light Industry, Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, Jilin University of Technology, Wuhan Institute of Surveying and Mapping and other higher education is the precedent. On this basis, in 1996 the National Academic Degrees Committee approved the specialty of packaging engineering as a master's degree, and Xi'an University of Technology became the first authorized master's degree. According to statistics, at present, there are 23 universities and colleges in China that have set up undergraduate majors in packaging engineering, and there are 7 institutions that train packaging engineering graduate students through anchoring methods. Each year, the country trains more than 1,000 packaging professionals in undergraduate and higher levels. The discipline of packaging engineering is an emerging discipline of engineering technology. Its role in the packaging industry and even in the national economic construction has been widely known. However, due to the late start of packaging higher education in China and the lack of perfect packaging engineering disciplines, it is still a weak link in the training of graduate students. This is incompatible with the rapidly developing packaging industry in China. In the developed countries of the world, such as the United States, as early as in the early 60s, the cultivation of postgraduates majoring in packaging began, and now a complete system of postgraduate education in packaging has been formed. The relevant experts of the China Packaging Technology Association Packaging Experts Working Committee and the Packaging Education Committee hope and request that relevant universities and colleges should seriously study the challenges facing the packaging industry in the highly intelligent field, meet the needs of the modernization of the national economy, and train high-level personnel in the packaging industry as The important task of education reform is to prepare high-level talents for the trans-century development of China's packaging industry.
Packaging Secondary Vocational Education Secondary vocational education is an important level of packaging education and plays a particularly important role in the development of the industry. Most of the packaging industry is small and medium-sized enterprises, and the technical strength is very weak. The secondary vocational talents have the characteristics of strong adaptability, usefulness and retention, and are very popular with enterprises. However, due to various historical reasons, China's packaging secondary vocational education has problems such as unsatisfactory development and incomplete professional settings. It cannot meet the needs of the development of the industry. It is an important level that needs serious research and efforts to solve in packaging education. Experts pointed out that packaging secondary vocational education should speed up the pace of development, increase the number of enrollment, so that secondary technical personnel as soon as possible to add to the technical team in the industry, which is to improve and enhance the quality of the packaging industry, an important method for the workforce. According to statistics, there are now nearly 30 packaging technology schools or technical schools in the country. Each year, nearly ten thousand medium-level vocational talents are transported to the packaging industry, which is widely welcomed by the industry.
Packaging Staff Education According to incomplete statistics, there are about 20,000 packaging companies in China and more than 2 million employees. Workers in the packaging industry as a whole see insufficient basic education, lack of vocational training and low technical standards. Therefore, it is an important task for packaging education to strengthen the education of packaged employees and comprehensively improve the culture and technical quality of employees. At present, although many packaging companies in China have introduced first-class packaging equipment, they have not produced first-class packaging products because of the low quality of the workforce, resulting in wasted or even idle equipment. Experts pointed out that the quality of the workforce has become the development of the packaging industry. Bottlenecks must be highly valued by the industry. In recent years, many companies and many provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions have become aware of the heightened training of employees to the point of establishing a modern enterprise system, and have taken direct and effective corporate services as a fundamental starting point and starting point for pre-service education. On-the-job training, short-term training, academic education and other forms, and in accordance with business development goals, constantly adjust the training content, objects and priorities, so that the overall quality of employees in the industry has been greatly improved, and promote the continuous development of enterprises.
