It is a safe, post-consumer, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin that does not contain BPA, phthalates, heavy metals, or allergens and is 78% less greenhouse gases than primary resins, and does not require the addition of colorants.

HQC has been experimenting with 100% eco-main resins in the production of sustainable pouches/welding nozzles, and has experimented with different ratios of eco-primary resins to native resins. The results are very optimistic. Improvements in the molding process and sealing strips make eco-primary resins comparable to certain 100% primary petroleum-based materials. The rigorous testing of HQC in the past two years also included batch quantities of mixed materials to ensure that the multi-source materials were sufficiently consistent to prevent quality problems in the production process.

Currently, HQC is working with a large film company to make a seal with a burglarproof tape. The purpose is to use the cover and accessories made of eco-resin to insert the bag fitting/welding tip into the full polyethylene bag.

HQC is testing plant-based materials mixed with eco-primary resins. Making caps, accessories, and bags from the mix will make the product completely sustainable and recyclable without having to sort caps and bags. HQC specializes in plastic spoons, custom molded CT seals, and pouches for the food and beverage, personal care, medical device and flexible packaging markets.

Through testing consistency and performance, HQC also discovered process changes, increased seal strength, and reduced cycle times. It also determines the advantages through the seal strip design. In some cases, even with a standard membrane structure, some adjustments will increase the mating seal strength by more than seven times the original pounds per square inch.
